The children in strawberry time found & destroyed several pheasant’s nests in Goleigh wood. Nep. and Niece Ben White came from London.
When the redbreasts have finished the currans, they begin with the berries of the honey-suckles, of which they are very fond.
Several golden-crowned wrens appear in the tall fir-tree at the upper end of Baker’s hill: they were probably bred in that tree.
