Crocus’s blow-out. When the vernal crocus blows, the autumnal crocus peeps out of the ground. Bees gather on the crocus.

A vivid Aurora: a red belt from East to West.

The garden works well: sowed pease, & planted beans.  Crocus’s blow.

Lambs come very fast.  Bats appear.  Field-pease are sowing.

Tulips begin to peep.

Out of the wind there is frost; but none where the S. wind blows.

Bees come-0ut, & gather on the snow-drops.  Many gnats in the air.

Ice on ponds is very thick.

Sowed the great mead in part, & all Berriman’s field (laid down last year with grass-seeds) with good peat-ashes.
