Truffles began to be taken for ye first time in my Brother Henry White’s grove; & will continue to be found in great abundance every fort-night till about Lady-day.
The capsule of the tway-blade bursts at a touch, & scatters the dust-like seed on all sides.
No sun for several days. Bad time for corn. No cucumbers under hand-glasses will set.
First young swallows. Cut the first succade-melon. Grasshopper-lark sings day and night.
Great storm of thunder and lightening. Tiled the succades.
