Scarabaeus stercorarius.  Saw a bird which I suspected to be an Aberdevine, or siskin: it was the passer torquatus, or reed sparrow.  Woodlark, great titmouse, chaffinch sing.  Blackbird whistles.  Woodlark sings in the air before daybreak.  Thrush sings.  Missel-bird sings.
