Vast storm that did much damage. * In my absence the ring-ouzels made their regular spring visit en passant, but the seemed to be few that passed this way.

Averdavines in Oxfordshire. These were passeres torquati, or reed-sparrows.

Green wood-pecker laughs at all the world. Storm-cock sings.

Butterflies abound. Flies swarm. Grass lamb. Cut a brace more of large cucumbers. Ants appear. Primula veris. Drabaverna.

Rooks have young. Snow melts away very fast. Peaches & nectarines are in full bloom. Apricot bloom seems to be cut off. Barley begins to be sown.
