Men busy in plowing for pease. Timothy the tortoise awakes.
Cleaned-up the borders in the garden. Sowed radishes, & a few carrots under the fruit-wall.
Partridges are paired. Foot-paths in many places very clean.
Drank tea at Newton by day-light. Sheep on the down look deplorably!
Sheep rot very much. Ewes & lambs are much distressed by the continual wet.
